Radiesse (Previously Sold as Radiance)

Manhattan, New York Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, David P. Rapaport offers Radiesse injections to his NYC patients.  Radiesse is an injectable facial filler composed of calcium hydroxyapatite. Radiesse  lasts two to three years - making it a very attractive option as a facial filler. Because it is not animal based, there is no allergy testing required prior to treatment. Calcium hydroxylapatite is biodegradable, so it is safely absorbed by your body over time. Radiesse is a simple and fast out-patient procedure.

Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, David P. Rapaport uses this long lasting facial filler in many applications including:

Non-Surgical Nose Job
Non-Surgical Chin Enhancement
Non-Surgical Jowl Lift
Non-Surgical Cheek Enchancement
Smoothing wrinkles and folds throughout the face
Filling scars and depressions including acne scars

Radiesse can smooth and enhances key areas of the face.  Radiesse can also:

Reduce lines between the nose and mouth and on the upper lip
Fill in the so called "smile lines" and "frown lines"
Diminish blemishes
Restore the natural contours of the cheeks

How do Radiesse treatments work?
Radiesse is a simple procedure. With input from the patient, the nurse or doctor will mark areas to be treated. Using local anesthesia, they will then inject Radiesse, being careful not to overfill the area and leave an unnatural look.

Is Radiesse safe?
The material is identical in composition to the mineral portion of teeth and bone, thus it is inherently safe. The material has been used for other medical applications such as reconstructive surgery, ear-nose-throat surgery, maxillofacial surgery, dentistry, and urology.

What makes Radiesse different from other facial fillers?
The distinctive feature of Radiesse is that it provides both immediate correction along with longer lasting duration.

If you have questions about Radiesse, plastic surgery or cosmetic surgery, or would like to schedule a consultation with the Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, please phone David P. Rapaport's Manhattan, New York Plastic Surgery office at 212-752-1129 or email the doctor at info@drrapaport.com.
